Many Good Mornings to You and The New Year!

Most mornings you dash over to the sink and grab your toothbrush. You take care of your morning rituals and drive the kids to school or drive yourself to Starbucks. Everything’s a haze.

Now rewind or reset back to the bed.

Watch that moment as if it were in slow motion. Replay the part where you swing your legs to the edge, when your feet touched the floor. Don’t dwell on the chipped polish, hairs or the scars. Just stop in your head for a Nano-second and think about the coming day.

The possibilities, the potential to change-- everything begins with that first step in the right direction. Before your feet touch your slippers, carpet or cold floor, that’s when it begins.

 You have the power.

  1. Indeed! I've made some very powerful changes today. I would never have gone out of my way 3 years ago and take the risks to do a job, one that wasn't even mine to do. It just happened that I knew what I was doing. :)

Dang, it sure did feel good, too!

And thank you again for the photo you posted on my Facebook page. It made me realize that I really need another bird in my life.

  9. Good post and so true. We do have the power. I like to start my day for thanking God for the day. I take a very slow morning before I get going, and I'm grateful I can take that slow start.

    1. Slow is good. I guess I'm talking about reflection. I think this is the year of reflection.
