Seeing Stripes on My Anniversary-(Edited)

He was so excited about the gift. Lovingly wrapped at home in beautiful wrapping paper and bows, he smuggled it over two hundred miles through the barren Mojave desert to our resort. Was the significant date of 10-10 a factor in the mysterious occurrence that took place at ten o'clock in the morning?

Twenty years of marriage and two hundred miles later, I am the proud owner of a Kindle Fire HD.

Here is the wrapping.

Funniest thing was the hotel had a matching picture on the wall.

Then I received the case.
Everything matched.

On our way home through the desert, we saw a huge rainbow!

Was it meant to be?

    1. No, the wrapping matched the cover and the wall art. It was all so coordinated. I'm thinking you don't like fluorescent orange?

    2. I had a friend in high school who drove a fluorescent orange Jetta.

    1. The Mandalay Bay Resort & Spa is one of our favorites places for it's lazy river pool and sandy beach with waves. It's not like a normal Vegas destination.

    1. Thanks Diane. I hope to enjoy it when I've plowed through a few hundred of the paperbacks cluttering my writing area. Thanks Diane.

  9. I know I already commented but can you e-mail me about how you will be using the kindle. I assume it will be in color ? that was one draw back for me before.
I am thinking about it for a gift, so any comments will be most useful.

  13. I don't have the Kindle Fire (just the plain-Jane oldest model) but I can't say enough good things about it. You'll enjoy yours. Now you can get the FREE downloads now for your kindle when they come up, plus buying ebooks is soooo much cheaper.

Oh, love how everything matches...it has to be fate! LOL

  18. That is too funny!! Happy anniversary and enjoy your Kindle. I don't have one. They don't really appeal to me...not yet anyways! lol...I'll probably come around and get one soon enough though! I suppose one advantage is that you can carry piles of books around with you without having to actually carry piles of books! Have a great day Eve!
